Camponotus singularis is a red-headed Asian ant species. They feature large workers and since they are polymorphic, there are three castes of workers.
Camponotus singularis Ant length is approximately 12mm. A common sight around the bushes. This specimen is a sterile female worker. I have not seen the queen, but there are large headed soldiers which I will post in a separate image. A popular collectable for bug enthusiasts in the west. Location is Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. Whenever you see a few workers around the bush, one or two of these soldiers will not be far away.
