Camponotus singularis I have included this image, though perhaps not relevant, because from a photographic point I thought it was a bit special, and judging by the incredible standard of images on display, I assume just about everyone here is a photographer.<br />

Location is Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. Alongside a stream and paddy fields.<br />

Camponotus singularis Ant length is approximately 12mm. A common sight around the bushes. This specimen is a sterile female worker. I have not seen the queen, but there are large headed soldiers which I will post in a separate image.<br />

Camponotus singularis is a red-headed Asian ant species. They feature large workers and since they are polymorphic, there are three castes of workers.
