Red-footed Cannibal Fly (Promachus rufipes) Feasting on Neotibicen winnemanna I found this robberfly snacking on a Eastern Scissors Grinder cicada (Neotibicen winnemanna) on a dirt road at a dense mixed forest edge. It was not pleased when I shooed it away to get a better view of the cicada! I've heard that this species has been known to catch/prey on hummingbirds!
