Adults are 3,2-4,7mm in length and quite variable in colour, ranging from almost entirely clear to completely black.Naming
Puton (1875) synonymized Halosalda halophila with H. lateralis, but recently Vinokurov (2014) restored H. halophilus to full species status, while considering Halosalda concolor (Puton, 1880) a junior synonym of H. halophila.Distribution
Native distribution ranges from central Europe to Siberia and China.Reproduction
Knowledge about the biology is very limited, but the species is believed to be univoltine over it's entire range. Nevertheless overwintering individuals have been found both as adult and nymphs, as well as eggs in winter.References:
