Paropsisterna octosignata

Color;
Black with four orange blotches on each elytra making two transverse rows, each of four dots, the first row is near the base of the elytra and the apical row quite far back. The blotches are consistent and contain black lateral lines in the positions of the striae. Head contains some red behind the line jointing the back of the eyes. Pronotum entirely black. Legs black. Antennae black.

The striae are reduced to almost invisible. Punctuations are fine and interstitial punctures are similarly fine. The surface is nitid. Pronotum has two angled fovea and 'beading' on its edge.
Antennae are relatively short, about 40-50% of body length.
