Paropsisterna lineata is a eucalyptus leaf beetle found in southern and eastern parts of Australia. It is very dark brown to black with a few pale yellow broken lines on the elytra.
Chrysomelid Beetle (Paropsisterna lineata) A small dark beetle ( about 15 mm long) with thin pale yellow streaks on elytra. A small red triangle was seen on the vertex between the eyes. Pronotum was plain and dark.

Appearance

About 15mm long.
Pronotum and head very dark brown.
Elytra glossy black with lines of pitting and a few fine, yellow, broken lines.
Paropsisterna lineata (and P. nigerrima) Together with Paropsisterna nigerrima (var.) alternata in the foreground.  These are nocturnal and usually found under bark.
