Leperina decorata

A small, flat beetle which lives under bark.
It can be found in south eastern Australia with records in NSW, Victoria and Tasmania
Bark gnawing beetle (Leperina decorata) This is the only one I have found in this family... maybe I should rolll a few more logs over.
About 9mm long. Flat. Patterns of light and dark brown with longitudinal striations on the abdomen. A white flash on each outer margin of the thorax.Three (assymetric?) clubbed segments on antennae?
Exploring a large, weathered (barkless) log in a local nature reserve.
