Nephrurus asper

Nephrurus is a genus of eleven species of gecko, commonly known as knob-tailed geckos.

They are easily distinguished by their short bodies, large heads, small legs and short, carrot-shaped tails that often end in a small knob.
Rough Knob-tailed Gecko Found in the rocky plains of central Australia.  Nocturnal, all rough knob-tailed geckos have a small round knob at the end of their tail which is used as a lure.
