Valeriana italica is a perennial plant of the Valerianoideae subfamily in the Caprifoliaceae family. it is a tall plant, up to 80 cm tall. the leaves along the stem are getting smaller the higher they are on the stem. the inflorescence is round and comprised of many small white-pink flowers. it usually blooms between February and April, on rocks and cliffs.
