  1. So pretty! Are the flowers fragrant? Posted 4 years ago
    1. do you know the smell of valerian drops? this Valeriana smells similar, but fainter. not a lovely fragrance... Posted 4 years ago
      1. Oh, no I don't know the smell. And, oddly, I didn't make the connection from this plant to Valerian. Posted 4 years ago
        1. I'm Sorry! in Hebrew the names are similar - so the connection is trivial. I don't always remember not everyone knows Israeli botany like I do... ;-)
anyway, here there are several old stories about hikers groups (like class trip or youth organizations) that went hiking with a medic, and the Valerian drops bottle (glass bottle, of course) shattered in the medicine bag, so the medic and all his gear was stinking for the rest of the hike...

          1. No need to be sorry ;). My botanical knowledge is limited, unfortunately. Sounds like a stinky hike! I was curious, looked it up, and found an article online that was titled, "Valerian--is the stink worth the sleep benefits?" Lol. I guess it truly reeks. Posted 4 years ago
