It is found in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, and Peru. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest and heavily degraded former forest.

Appearance

It has a rufous head with black eye stripes. Its body is green and its tail is blue. Its beak is black.
