Dichrostigma flavipes is a Snakefly (Raphidioptera) in the family Raphidiidae, native to (central and southern) Europe

Kindly sent to me from Germany by Ingrid Altmann (thanks! :o) as I have no chance of finding it in the Netherlands.

Note: The photograph was taken in the Netherlands but THE SPECIMEN IS FROM BAVARIA, GERMANY

Naming

Dichrostigma flavipes was first described by Johann Philip Emil Friedrich Stein in 1863. The lectotype is from Greece and should currently be in the collection of the Museum für Naturkunde in Berlin.
