Zenodosus sanguineus

Zenodosus sanguineus

Zenodosus sanguineus is a beetle in the family Cleridae.
Beetle - Zenodosus sanguineus This beetle was my nemesis during the month of May. I saw one nearly every week on the same snag. Each time, I tried to get a shot, but it was way too fast and would go back inside the tree before I could capture it properly. Unfortunately, this snag has since fallen and looks like it has been ravaged by a bear in search of the tasty critters within.

Spotted on a snag in a coniferous forest. Cleridae,Clerus,Geotagged,Spring,United States,Zenodosus,Zenodosus sanguineus,beetle,red
