Phyllotreta exclamationis

Phyllotreta exclamationis

Phyllotreta exclamationis is one of the smaller jumping Flea Beetles of the tribe Alticini (formerly a subfamily in its own right Alticinae, now usually classified under Galerucinae).
Phyllotreta exclamationis Very small (~1.7mm) Leaf Beetle that I didn't readily recognize as a Phyllotreta (those usually have white longitudinal marks over almost the full length of the elytra). Alticinae,Chrysomelidae,Coleoptera,Flea beetle,Leaf Beetle,Phyllotreta,Phyllotreta exclamationis

Appearance

It is quite small (1.4-1.8mm) and can have complete longitudinal marks on the elytra like most of its congeners, but the marks would be very narrow medially and are usually completely interrupted, leaving a more or less rectangular mark on the shoulders and a more moon or comma shaped mark near the apex of the elytra.
