Appearance
It grows to about 35 mm in size, is brown or reddish brown with white to yellow spots on the body. Their finger and toe tips are dilated. The frogs are known to breed in phytotelms , dropping their tadpoles into the water.Arboreal in nature, they are often found on shrubs and lower tree canopy in primary and secondary forests.
Distribution
Subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests form the natural habitat. This species is found in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, thePhilippines, Singapore, and Thailand up to elevations of 1650 m above sea level.
In Singapore, sizable populations are found in Bukit Timah and Central Catchment nature reserves.
They are however, threatened by habitat loss due to clearing forests for agriculture and logging.
