Vireo sp. Eggs This awesome nest was suspended from a branch that was about 4-5 feet above the ground. It was around 8 cm wide and was made of grass, paper wasp nest, silk, leaves, and I&#039;m not sure what else. I first found this nest a few weeks ago before the eggs had hatched. I went back to check on the eggs this morning and found baby chicks! I don&#039;t know how many there are, but this one was sleeping near the edge and easy to photograph. I heard more in the nest, but couldn&#039;t see them from this angle. Update 6/22/19: The chicks have hatched:
