Unidentified Gall on Oak (Quercus sp.) - Polystepha sp.? I&#039;m not sure what kind of gall this is. Maybe a vein pocket gall or an elongate vein swelling? I read that Polystepha sp. can cause elongate vein swellings in oak leaves, but can&#039;t find any photos matching these. Dasineura sp. is another possibility.<br /> <br /> The galls were fuzzy, elongated, and formed on the underside of oak (Quercus sp.) leaves.
