Pores are buff to pale gold. Flesh is white. Cap is slick and smooth. Base of stem is yellow. Interior of central stem is red. Slight staining (blue/green) in flesh of stem. <br /> Chemical analysis:<br /> Iron salts&mdash;&gt;Light olive on flesh and pores.<br /> KOH&mdash;&gt;Peach on cap. Pale pink on flesh. Orange/brown on pores.<br /> Ammonia&mdash;&gt;Peach on cap. Rose red on flesh and pores.<br /> <br /> Flavor is very acrid!
