Unknown (some kind of fungus) I made this picture in the park near my house. it was the first time i saw a fungus of some sort in that park. i really liked this side because you can see really good how the spores are build up. i like how it all worked out in this picture. as i am still a beginner and learning i am open for feedback. 1. It's a great photo, Rudolp. Well composed and a fantastic exposure that shows highlight, shadows and everything in between really well.

The only feedback I have is to try to find the species name. One hint may be in that this fungus was growing in May, which should narrow down options.

    1. thank you for the great compliment Ferdy.

i already tried and did it again. but i cant find the kind of fungi this is. on dutch sites, english sites and so on. it also seems hard to find out wich fungi sorts grow in the netherlands in may. and what i find most of the time doesnt even look a bit like this. or is much too small. or has other differences in their look. i really hope that i find something that helps me find this fungi kind. maybe i am not looking good enough, but i tried everything i can think of.

      1. No worries, Rudolph, fungi are probably the most difficult species to identify. We do have a list of websites that may help in identification, on that page there's also a fungi section:

        1. thank you for the guide Ferdy. i have also looked on those websites aswell. i dont seem to find it, even there. and i personally dont think that the fungi i photographed is that uncommon. that makes it even strenger that it is very hard to find. i will continue the search and ask some people at my work who know some things about fungi type things.
