Crab Spider This Crab Spider was seen in the garden of a friend&#039;s house in Cape Town.<br />

Saw something similar from Philippines in yellow form :<br />

This Crab Spider was seen in the garden of a friend's house in Cape Town.

Saw something similar from Philippines in yellow form :

Yellow Crab Spider This Crab Spider - Thomisus sp (?) capable to change colour over a period of time although they are mostly either white or yellow in colour.  They usually hangs around flowers, waiting for their prey.<br />

    1. I can't be 100% certain, got the ID from another forum.
      For fishes, its possible, but not sure of land animals.
      Sometimes, the only way to tell is through DNA.

      1. It's not very likely. According to the WSC the distribution of Thomisus okinawensis is Thailand to Ryukyu Islands, Philippines, Indonesia.
        Several species are found in South Africa
