Yellow Crab Spider This Crab Spider - Thomisus sp (?) capable to change colour over a period of time although they are mostly either white or yellow in colour.  They usually hangs around flowers, waiting for their prey.<br />

This Crab Spider - Thomisus sp (?) capable to change colour over a period of time although they are mostly either white or yellow in colour. They usually hangs around flowers, waiting for their prey.

      In this shot, the front legs looks like it was 'broken' but the last segment of the legs are actually holding onto the leaf, its under the leaf.

      1. This spider doesn't look like the drawings of Thomisus okinawensis in the book. The spots on the legs are not dark and the V shaped spot on the cephalothorax is not clearly visible. The eyes don't look the same either - some examples below.

        I cannot see the description of Thomisus iswadus in the preview. Thomisus laglaizei is also reported from the Philippines but it is not described in this book. I don't know how reliable the IDs of Project Noah are. From the few references only available for some of the species I cannot judge about the variability within the species and the similarities between the species.
