Spring Peeper (Pseudacris crucifer) US Quarter for scale. Not perfect, since I didn&#039;t keep the same angle for both shots (and unfortunately I scared it away when pulling out the quarter), but close enough that it gives a  good idea on how tiny this guy was.<br />

Spring Peeper (Pseudacris crucifer)

The spring peeper is a small chorus frog widespread throughout the eastern United States and Canada. They are so called because of their chirping call that marks the beginning of spring.
