Caddisfly Egg Mass - Trichoptera
Gelatinous egg mass. It was at least a meter from a pond's edge. Usually, the female will deposit the egg mass on vegetation hanging over, or at least right next to, the water's surface.
I brought it home to watch the eggs hatch under my microscope, but did not keep them to rear because I didn't think I could accomplish it and didn't want to kill them.
