
Javan Lutungs - Trachypithecus auratus, Photo 3
This is the 3rd photo in the series and my favorite. The black lutung was stroking the brown one's face. The brown lutung was in such a state of bliss as it kept leaning into the other's hand and closing its eyes during each stroke.

The Javan lutung, ''Trachypithecus auratus'' also known as the ebony lutung and Javan langur, is an Old World monkey from the Colobinae subfamily. It is most commonly glossy black with a brownish tinge to its legs, sides, and "sideburns". It is found on and endemic to the island of Java, as well as on several of the surrounding Indonesian islands.
