  1. Nice shot with an unusual angle and a perfect background. Posted 3 years ago
  2. I agree with William! It's so unusual to see a wasp from this angle. Fantastic photo! Posted 3 years ago
    1. As for the ID, I struggled to get past Ichneumonidae ;P. I did come across Tribe Banchini. But, really, I have no clue. Any other shots? Posted 3 years ago
      1. I do have some others, including a decent one straight on from the top that’s more useful for ID. Posted 3 years ago
        1. A dorsal shot might help. But, I do love this photo! Posted 3 years ago
          1. I get the feeling I’d annoyed it quite enough and I was being berated :p Posted 3 years ago
            1. Haha, now that you say that, it does look like it's giving you the stink eye.

I seriously annoyed a praying mantis over the weekend while trying to get a photo. It tried to kung fu my finger.

              1. I keep finding similar photos - with white facial markings orange legs and a similar body shape.. but they haven't been classified very far yet. To me the closest (but still not that close...) matches look to be the Tromatobia genus-group Posted 3 years ago, modified 3 years ago
                1. So, it might be okay to assume tribe Ephialtini, at least. Posted 3 years ago
