Paris sp. The ID for this observation is currently uncertain. It might be  Paris verticillata, but Paris quadrifolia is also possible. Either would be very unusual to find in this area.  I&#039;m awaiting expert confirmation, which may have to wait until spring. In the meantime, I am changing the location to just reflect the state (New York) at the urging of some experts because this is a rare plant.<br />
