Old Man of the Woods - Strobilomyces sp. I&#039;m not sure what species this is as the taxonomy of Strobilomyces sp. is very confusing, uncertain, and messy.<br /> <br /> The flesh of this mushroom did not turn red when I cut into it. The edges of the pores got pinkish (barely), but then the flesh got dark grayish (over an hour).
