
Luna Moth - Actias luna
This was a first at my light! And, it's only the 2nd luna moth that I've ever seen! I was definitely excited :).
WS: ~90-100 mm. Green wings with elliptical eyespots outlined in yellow, white, and black. HWs have long, twisted tails. Hosts: Deciduous trees. Status: Common
Habitat: Attracted to 365+395 nm LED lights in a semi-rural area

''Actias luna'', commonly known as the Luna Moth, is a lime-green, Nearctic Saturniid moth in the family Saturniidae, subfamily Saturniinae. It has a wingspan of up to 114mm making it one of the largest moths in North America.
