Unknown Caterpillar on Trillium (Trillium erectum) The caterpillar was in the center of the flower and had some silk near it. I noticed an interesting behavior-- it sort of bounced backward whenever I touched it. I didn&#039;t notice any feeding damage on the petals.<br /> <br /> Habitat: Spotted in Trillium erectum, which was growing beside a stream in a deciduous forest.
