
Acalolepta sp. longhorn dorsal
Acalolepta is distributed from Japan, China through Southeast Asia to New Guinea, many Pacific Islands and here in Australia there are 15 species.
This specimen was 25 mm body length. Each antenna was an impressive 53 mm from the head joint to the tip. This larger size indicates a female.
In a natural setting, these have been seen on rubber trees Ficus elastica.
