Horama panthalon/ Texas Wasp Moth

Taken same day as attached photos of same insect. There was a lot of shade in this area, therefore the wings look black instead of brown. This shows how thick the black area is on the back leg joints.

The Texas Wasp Moth is a moth of the subfamily Arctiinae. It is found in South America, Central America, Mexico, the Antilles and southern United States. The wingspan is 32–34 mm. Adults are on wing year round. They mimic a paper wasp.
