  1. Really nice cracked caps! My guess would be Leccinum, but I'm not sure. Posted 4 years ago
    1. I agree with Leccinum. FOrgot to edit it though :D I can't find a match for a species though. Seems to be an underdescribed genus :/ Posted 4 years ago
      1. Maybe it's a new species. If it is, I suggest Leccinum snorrii, in honor of your pup. Posted 4 years ago
        1. That name is TOO PERFECT!
The Fundis project I linked you to provides grants and discounts for sequencing if you start your own local project, so I'm thinking of trying it out in the near future. You should start a project too!

          1. Good idea! I still don't understand the project at all really, though. ;P Posted 4 years ago
            1. I'm so sorry I am not good at explaining! What don't you understand? The whole point of it? Posted 4 years ago
              1. You explained it fine! My brain just shuts down at the mention of anything technical/having to do with computers. I think it is some kind of group that sequences mushrooms and maps species? But, where do you post them? Posted 4 years ago
                1. It is basically a citizen science project where they are trying to collect data from all over the country. There is a group/project on iNaturalist. You join the project https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/fundis-fungal-diversity-survey
Once you have joined, you can add your uploads to the project as you add them (or do a bulk upload)
