Eremogone capillaris

General: Tufted, glaucous perennial from a branched crown, usually glabrous below and glandular-pubescent above, the numerous flowering stems 5-30 cm. tall.
Leaves: Basal leaves many, ascending, narrowly linear, pointed, 2-4 cm. long and 0.5-1 mm. broad, 1-nerved; cauline leaves 2-4 pairs below the bracts, about half as long as the basal leaves.
Flowers: Flowers few in an open, terminal inflorescence; sepals 5, 3-4.5 mm. long, ovate, membranous-margined, purplish-tinged, thickened at the base; petals 5, white, about twice as long as the sepals; stamens 10; styles 3.
Fruits: Capsule ovoid, up to twice as long as the sepals, opening by 6 teeth.
