Friant's Sea Star (Nardoa frianti) is found in tropical waters in the western Pacific, throughout SE Asia and into the eastern Indian ocean.
Friant's Sea Star-Nardoa frianti Up to 20 cm. Tapering cylindrical arms with gold to red banding coveredwith rounded tubercles.Lighter colored central rosette formed by larger tubercles. Series of tubercles also lining arm margins.

Appearance

Length - 15cm
Usually five arms, tubercular, highly variable colour depending upon location.
Found singly or in groups on shallow water reefs on sand and rubble areas.

Distribution

Tropical waters. Northern to north eastern Indian ocean through South east Asian waters into the eastern Pacific.
