"According to our research there are more than 1400 Salvia species, one of the aromatic and medicinal plants more used in folk medicine. Among its active known ingredients some are associated with cardiac activity, antibacterial, insecticide, fungicide and to fight against lungs cancer cells. The discovery of the properties this species of Salvia may be considered important since the Alzheimer's disease is an increasingly common disease and, so far, the known treatment possibilities entailed high costs and were based on drugs with side effects that could even impair its use. It's discovery enables control of the development of a pathology safest and cheapest way."
