Chrysolaena platensis

Chrysolaena platensis

Chrysolaena platensis is a herbaceus species of plant found in south America.
Chrysolaena platensis (Vernonia_cognata) Weed or herb, in Paraguay, we would probably prefer to call it a herb, as most plants are considered to be medicinal in some form or another. Vernonia c. grows to a height of just over a metre. It's found at the edges of woods, and on tilled land. The shape of the rhizomes gives it it’s Guarani name “jagua ra’ỹi” dog’s testicles.
