Gills adnate, close to subdistant, narrow to slightly swollen in the middle; white gradually tinged with yellow. Stem 20-30X I mm, fragile, hollow; white becoming faintly yellow at base, which is very slightly covered in fine fibers. Flesh thin, fragile; orange to yellow. Odor mild. Taste mild. Spores ellipsoid, nonamyloid, 7-8 x 3.5-4µ. Deposit white. Habitat gregarious under pine and Douglas fir. Fairly common. Found in northeastern North America. Season April-November. Not edible.
