Red Herbivorous Ladybird

Epilachna infirma

The same family as other ladybirds however, the Red herbivorous ladybird is covered with a whitish down and as the name suggests, they are herbivorous. Found in sub-tropical weedish areas.

Appearance

Small, approx 8mm, covered with white down. Head and pronotum black. Elytra has 7 yellowish patches on each side.

Distribution

Sub-tropical. Found along coastal regions of South Africa
