Ducetia dichotoma

Ducetia dichotoma

Ducetia dichotoma is a species of katydid found in India. It was described in 1998 by Ingrisch & Shishodia.
Looks like a Giant Katydid, but apparently not!?!?! This 'not so little' girl scared my wife and I while walking home. We brushed against a plant over-hanging the path in our apartment complex and this is what leaped out... :O After making sure my wife was ok, i used my phone as a light and managed this shot using my old Zeiss 35mm f/2.4 (which is a surprisingly good macro). I love the fact that wildlife is everywhere here in India. Ducetia dichotoma,Geotagged,Giant Katydid,India,John rowell,Spring,Stilpnochlora couloniana, adhocphotographer
