The Bombay Leaf-toed Gecko ''Hemidactylus prashadi'' is a species of gecko found in the Western Ghats of India.
The Yellow spotted gecko - Hemidactylus prashadi It was on a monsoon night in one of the biodiversity hotspot in the western ghats. It is one of the few places during monsoons where you get to see beautiful life forms. Came across many species of reptiles and amphibians. One of the reptile is this - a yellow spotted gecko which looks like a deccan banded gecko from a distance, except for the yellow spots and crocodile like skin surface in the latter. The place is one of the wettest in monsoons. When no rain, the place will be foggy with tiny droplets of water as if the entire place was sprayed. As we were looking for life, came across some yellow spots on a tree. It was attractive, given the weather conditions, we could only see the yellow spots burning bright under our torch light.
