Fairy's barf lichen

Icmadophila ericetorum

Icmadophila ericetorus, has a mint green crustose thallus that is dotted with bright pink apothecial disks, and is sometimes affectionately referred to as fairy puke. It aggressively grows over mosses on well-rotted wood and peat. It looks very distinctive, but may be confused with species of Dibaeis.

not a great deal of info on this, but seems to be not uncommon around here - easier found under it's common name… of fairy barf, and fortunately only one species grows here in North America so ID is pretty easy Fairy's barf lichen,Geotagged,Icmadophila ericetorum,United States,Winter
