Red Ring Skirt

Hestina assimilis, or, the Red Ring Skirt, is a species of butterfly in the family Nymphalidae found in Asia. It is generally of large size. There are several subspecies: ''H. a. assimilis'', ''H. a. formosana'' , and ''H. a.'' f. ''nigrivena''
