Doratogonus is a genus of millipedes in family Spirostreptidae. They are relatively large, at 80–200 millimetres (3–8 in) long, relatively common, and distributed across Southern Africa.[1] Many of the species are listed on the IUCN Red List due to habitat destruction. The most widespread and common species of the genus in South Africa. This species does appear to tolerate some transformation of the habitat and has been found in suburban areas. Much of the range of this species falls within protected areas. (IUCN Red List).
