Distribution

The species is known from Japan, including the Ryukyu Islands (e.g. Asahina 1962), eastern parts of China, including Hong Kong (e.g. Wilson 2004), Taiwan, Province of China, the Korean Peninsular (e.g. Asahina 1990) and eastern Russia (the southern Kuril Islands).

Habitat

The species occupies a broad range of habitats, from forested swamp to open marshes and paddy fields and small streams (Karube 2010). It occurs in the lowlands and in hilly areas.
