The Common Woolly Sunflower , also known as Oregon Sunshine, is a widespread, herbaceous dicot of the sunflower family .

Lewis and Clark saw ''Eriophyllum''s growing above their camp on the Clearwater near present day Kamiah, Idaho. They gathered two specimens on June 6, 1806.
