
Appearance
It is very similar and could be mistaken with Rhynocoris iracundus. Rhynocoris erythropus differs in color from R. iracundus in that the sides of the abdomen in R. erythropus are yellow/orange and black, instead of the red and black seen in R. iracundus. Furthermore the first segment of the rostrum is black or at least black above (not entirely red as in R.cuspidatus, R.iracundus and R.rubricus) and the scutellum has a pale midline (not just a pale tip).References:
