Appearance

The bluish-violet (and more rarely white) flowers have a tubular corolla flared at the mouth. Leaves: in rosette long-petiolate, blade narrowly elliptical, hirsute. Cauline: basal and middle, oblong-ovate and upper, ovate-lance-shaped, serrate-dentate. It displays a few axillary or terminal flowers. Corolla 20-30 mm, tubular to narrowly campanulate, violet-blue. velvety (velutinous).

Distribution

Campanula tubulosa is an endemic flower of western Crete at an altitude of up to 950m.

Habitat

Rocks and gorges of middle and low altitudes.
