Hooded grasshopper

''Teratodes monticollis'', commonly known as the hooded grasshopper, is a species of grasshopper native to India and Sri Lanka. It is the type species of the genus ''Teratodes'', which was established by the French entomologist Gaspard Auguste Brullé in 1835.
