Lesser Antillean pewee

Contopus latirostris

The Lesser Antillean pewee is a species of bird in the family Tyrannidae. It is found in Dominica, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Puerto Rico, and Saint Lucia with records from Saint Kitts. Birds on Puerto Rico are sometimes considered to be a separate species as are those on Saint Lucia.
Lesser Antillean Pewee Lots of people I know have stories behind all their bird photos. I don't for the most part.  I look. I shoot. That's it.

But I do have a story for this Lesser Antillean Pewee I sighted far off in the Syndicate area of Dominica. The bird sighted me back,  and moved closer and closer until it was a mere 8 feet away staying pefectly still. Never had that happen before.

Habitat

Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forest, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest, and subtropical or tropical moist montane forest.
