Lesser Antillean Pewee Lots of people I know have stories behind all their bird photos. I don't for the most part. I look. I shoot. That's it.
But I do have a story for this Lesser Antillean Pewee I sighted far off in the Syndicate area of Dominica. The bird sighted me back, and moved closer and closer until it was a mere 8 feet away staying pefectly still. Never had that happen before.
1. This species is described as "drab" in much of the literature. Beauty, as they say, is in the eye of the beholder. I think the bird in looks and personality is adorable, and I believed he came so close to provide him a DeMille moment. I was happy to provide it. Posted one year ago
    1. Is very beautiful! I have added the species for you :-)
Don't forget to add the country or geotag, thanks!

      1. Patomarazul, thank you! Where and how do I add the species and geotag, Posted one year ago
        1. Click on geotag photo at the right hand side and then you can search in the map the place where you saw the spotting. Or alternatively you can click on Set Country to add the country where you saw it :-) Posted one year ago

The Lesser Antillean pewee is a species of bird in the family Tyrannidae. It is found in Dominica, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Puerto Rico, and Saint Lucia with records from Saint Kitts. Birds on Puerto Rico are sometimes considered to be a separate species as are those on Saint Lucia.
